Last January 31, 2026, a meaningful seminar titled “The ABC of Resiliency” brought together 14 schools in JCACI Event Place, Rodriguez, Rizal for a collaborative learning experience. The event was organized for a dedicated group of educators known as Rodriguez Private Schools Association (ROPRISA), with the goal of strengthening resilience among both teachers and students.

The seminar featured an engaging main speaker, Ms. Miriam G. Dela Cruz, Manager of Messiah Publishing House, who emphasized the vital role schools play as safe havens for children. One of the key messages highlighted was that resilience is not just an innate trait. It can be nurtured and developed, especially in young learners. The discussion also explored how weak resilience can negatively affect mental health, making it essential for educators to foster supportive environments.

A highlight of the seminar was the interactive Resilience Tree activity. Participants were divided into five groups and tasked with identifying what the roots, trunk, and branches symbolize in building resilience. Each group then presented their interpretations and shared insights on how resilience grows and is sustained.

Overall, the event served as a reminder that resilient educators help build resilient communities. The challenge was taken to heart by the participating schools.
